The Fraser Valley Croquet Society coordinates multiple programs serving communities throughout the region. From established club play to community instruction courses, FVCS provides diverse opportunities to participate in croquet.

Abbotsford Croquet Club

Ongoing Club

Established croquet club offering regular play, instruction, and community engagement at Mill Lake Park in Abbotsford.

Location: Mill Lake Park, Abbotsford, BC
Schedule: Tuesday & Thursday evenings
Level: All skill levels welcome
Equipment: Provided by club

The Abbotsford Croquet Club operates at the Abbotsford Lawn Bowling Club facility, providing access to professional croquet courts and equipment. New players receive instruction and are welcome to join regular play sessions.

Community Recreation Courses

Proposed Programs

FVCS is developing structured croquet instruction courses to be delivered through municipal recreation departments, designed for adults and seniors new to the sport.

Location: TBD (Fraser Valley municipalities)
Format: 6-session courses, 1.5 hours per session
Level: Beginners to intermediate players
Instructor: Michael Kernaghan (24 years experience)

These courses will provide comprehensive introduction to croquet, covering history, game varieties, health benefits, equipment, rules, techniques, strategy, and etiquette. Participants receive hands-on instruction and practice, with opportunities to continue playing through FVCS member clubs.

Status: Course curriculum in development. Applications pending with Fraser Valley recreation departments.
